My Year in Review: 2018 in 12 Outfits

2018 was a great year for me. Yesterday I talked about all of the fun things that I did this year, so today I’d like to show you my favorite clothes that I wore! Here’s a roundup of my favorite outfits that I wore this year:

January

In January I went to Longwood Gardens for their Orchid Extravaganza, which I blogged about here. It was an unseasonably warm day, so I was very comfortable in a light sweater from Target and a tank top from Torrid. I’m not sure where my jeans are from because they’re pretty old. My shoes are my trusty gym shoes, Downshifters from Nike.

February

February was a pretty chill month for me. It was the middle of a long, cold winter, and by that point, I was so ready to wear cute spring outfits! This was the best of both worlds, offering coverage but still bright and fun. It was chilly, so I ended up wearing it with tights. You can read more about this ensemble here.

March

I wore this outfit when I went to the arcade with some gal pals in March. I never got around to making a blog post about this outfit, but this shirt was one of my favorite purchases of the year. I SWEAR I will find a good way to wear this shirt in the near future so I can make a post about it. The western shirt and jeans are both from Asos but are sold out.

April

I can’t believe I haven’t shared this photo on my blog before, because it’s one of my favorite pictures of me of all time! This dress was an amazing Target find. It’s even a straight size dress, which rarely fits my arms. I wore this on a dinner date in April.

May

Finally, some bare legs! I blogged about this awesome pink velvet dress earlier in the year here, but in May I wore it with my favorite black wedges and a black floppy hat from Target.

June

A bikini with badass earrings is definitely an outfit in my book! June was the start of pool season. The metallic gold bikini of my dreams is from Forever 21, and the rose gold pot leaf earrings are from Maya Jewelry. Check out how long my hair was! I got a good 6″ cut off of it in October so it’s cool to see how long it actually was.

July

In July my sweetie and I went to the American Treasure Tour in Oaks, PA. It wasn’t our first time, but this is definitely a destination that you have to visit more than once to truly appreciate. I wore a super cute crop top from Target, the same light sweater from January’s outfit, and some trusty old shorts from Forever 21. I will definitely write a blog post about the Treasure Tour in the future because I took tons of photos, and I want to go back again!

August

I start getting sick of summer weather in August, mostly because I have to wear my hair up all the time or I’ll die of heatstroke. I wrote about this getup here in a post about some summer date night outfits.

September

Another tiger themed outfit! In September, I wore this cute ensemble to dinner. It features one of my prized thrifting treasures, a locket with the Fonz on the front. Read more about it and see a close up of the locket here. You can tell the weather is starting to cool off at night because my hair is only up in a half bun this time.

October

October is my favorite month because of Halloween and my birthday! My favorite thing I wore in October was this very cute witchy dress from independent designer Brett Manning. This is what I wore when I was handing out candy to trick-or-treaters, but you can see how I wore it to dinner in another blog post.

November

My favorite outfit for November was this cute skirt and top from Modcloth, which I wore to dinner. I got a lot of wear out of this skirt this year! I wrote about both pieces here.

December

I wore this on a warm-ish December night and it was a real stunner! I got lots of compliments on this outfit. I’m also wearing my favorite ear weights, again from Maya Jewelry. I wrote about the ensemble here.

Again, thank you so much to everyone who follows and reads my blog. I really enjoy putting together fun, interesting outfits and writing about them. It means a lot to me that you’d spend your time reading what I have to say. Stay tuned for more unique plus size outfits in 2019!
