Great news: I’m planning a trip to New Mexico to visit my family in March! I just booked my flight last week. This will be my second trip to New Mexico.
We are originally from the Midwest, but my mom moved to a rural part of central New Mexico in 2016. I visited her there in October of 2017. My brother moved his family out there just last year, so now all of my family is in one place again. I’m excited to hang out with them, and to see more of the state.
When I visited in 2017 my mom and I took a road trip to Roswell, New Mexico. On the way there we stopped at Fox Cave on East Highway 70. We stayed overnight in Roswell, then went to Alamogordo. There we saw the world’s largest pistachio and the New Mexico Museum of Space History. Our last stop was Truth or Consequences where we visited the Geronimo Springs Museum and the hot springs!
I’m still about 8 weeks away from my trip, so between now and then, expect to read about the highlights from my last visit! It was unique, to say the least. For my upcoming trip I plan to stay up near the Albuquerque and Truth or Consequences area. If you have any suggestions as to what we should do in that area, please let me know.
Have you ever visited New Mexico? Where did you go? What should we see while I’m there this year? Tell me about it in the comments!
