Back on My Bullshit

I’ve been on a nearly month-long hiatus. It wasn’t intentional; I’ve had a lot going on!

I finally went on my trip to visit my family in New Mexico. I’d been planning it since January. March seemed so far away then, so I put it out of my mind; then all of a sudden, it was time to go! The week before I went into full panic mode trying to get ready: packing, preparing my travel-friendly snacks, getting my triannual haircut, and picking up my travel weed and Xanax.

This trip really threw off my regular routine. I am a creature of habit. I like to do things a certain way; it’s one of the ways I deal with my PTSD. I’ve learned that when I can’t do things the way I like, my anxiety is much worse. Knowing what to expect every day gives me a sense of normalcy, resulting in a lot less panic.

The week after I got home, I felt totally depleted. I spent the week getting myself back on my regular schedule. Now that I’ve decompressed (read: gone to therapy), I’m ready to start writing about my trip. In addition to the less-than-ideal stuff, I’m planning a bunch of posts about what I did, saw, and ate in New Mexico. I also have a bunch of new unrelated stuff planned, particularly some outfits, a little witchy shit, and a few fun new spring crafts.

So, stay tuned for more of my regularly scheduled blogging, because I’m back on my bullshit.

  1. Wow, you took a nice, healthy break! I think the last time I was over here you were shopping for clothes for this trip! I seem to recall a tote with little cacti all over it. Did you take that? Hope you had a good break from the internet, as you know, I understand that need from time to time!

Well, welcome back and looking forward to hearing about your trip!
