I visited Truth or Consequences, New Mexico for a week in March of this year. While I was there, I challenged myself to soak at a different hot spring every day of my trip.

On my second night I had a soak at Riverbend Hot Springs.

This was absolutely the nicest of all of the hot springs that I visited, hands down. The lighting throughout the grounds is magical.
It was also the most expensive of all the places where I soaked. It was $30 for one person for 50 minutes. As with most things in life, you get what you pay for when it comes to the hot springs.

I rented Zuni, a deluxe private outdoor suite. It was much more expensive than their common pools, but I like to soak in the nude. The tubs have a color changing light that is really trippy. It really made this experience (and my nude selfies) magical.

The view from the private tubs is beautiful during the day, but at night, it’s downright astonishing. Once my eyes acclimated to the darkness of my suite, I could see green lights projected across the river onto the other bank. It was mesmerizing. The moon was full and I saw a nice little bat skitter across the sky.

I forget the actual temperature of the water, but I would have liked it a little warmer. Each of the tubs has a slightly different temperature. If I were to visit again, I’d look into the Riverside Rock Pool because it’s a little bit warmer.

If you’re going to soak at only one location in T or C, make it this one. It’s the nicest experience in town, but you’ll pay for it.
