While I was in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico in March of this year, I soaked at a different hot spring every night of my trip. On my third night I soaked at Blackstone Hotsprings.

This place is right in town in Truth or Consequences but the grounds are secluded by these tall adobe walls. This keeps it nice and quiet, and mostly private.

As with most of the hot spring spas in Truth or Consequences, Blackstone is also a hotel. Check out the reviews on Trip Advisor to see photos of the themed rooms, and of the dreamy in-room hot spring tubs!

This was actually my second time at Blackstone. When I visited in 2017 I made it in to soak twice, once in the Wet Room and once in the Turquoise Room. I liked the Wet Room pretty well but preferred one of the outdoor tubs; the Wet Room was just too hot for me. The Wet Room has a hot spring shower but I think I would have been WAY overheated if I gave it a try. Also I don’t like to get my hair wet. There’s a cool mineral deposit on the wall where the water is piped in to the soaking tub.

The office manager was snoozing on the job, but kindly let me get in some scratches.

I soaked in the Turquoise Room again on this trip, mostly because it was all that was available at such short notice. From what I’ve seen on Trip Advisor all of the private outdoor soaking rooms are nice here.

The Turquoise Room was exactly as I remembered it from two years ago.
I love that the outdoor tubs are drained between soaks; there are some in town that are not, which is kind of gross to me. (Ask at the front desk of where you’re soaking if you aren’t sure.)

This room is at the far end of the property near the parking lot, so there was a little street noise. The front of the property seems to be a little quieter.
